PURPOSE

We exist to answer the call to “be what you need” in the lives of kingdom-minded female songwriters through relationships: by prayer, encouragement, connection, and support.

VISION

Many world-changing songs have been lying dormant, locked inside isolated hearts wrapped in fear and insecurity. But when those hearts have a Brave encounter, either in person (coffee, writers round, writing day, conference) or online, something feels different. Yes, these women all share the love of songwriting and a love for the Lord. But there is a love for one another unlike any they’ve experienced. They are for one another, cheering one another on. They pray for each other, show up with food when someone is sick, go on trips together, and really do life together. It becomes clear that having a community around you like this one is how people are “loved into their purpose.” Moms model for their children what it looks like to follow their dreams. Young women see there are other women working in the church or in the industry writing songs, and realize they can too. There are regular local gatherings at the home of Brave Worship, the Song Barn. People from the community that live around the world come to visit, and there is always a beautiful homecoming.
