The Writing Worship Community came together on a warm December evening in 2022 at 4th Avenue Church of Christ in Franklin, TN to record a glorious set of community-based songs. Members of Brave Worship and The Halls joined together with the entire community to record this inspirational, worship anthem live that evening with a group of 300 worshippers to edify the church and celebrate Jesus' victory!

ABOUT BRAVE WORSHIP
Brave Worship is a worldwide community, but more a family. Founded in 2011 by songwriter Krissy Nordhoff in Franklin, TN, Brave exists to build up the heart of female songwriters, knowing the impact that will make in families, churches, industry, and the kingdom of God. They believe the voices of mothers and daughters are not only valued but needed. You can hear belonging, healing, freedom, and unity when they sing, and many have said they hear angels. From cathedrals in Scotland to the Ryman auditorium, this collective has released the sound of heaven wherever they go.
Brave exists to care for the heart, develop the talent and sharpen the skills of the Christian Songwriter by nurturing relationships, providing educational resources, and championing recordings being released for the world to hear.
ABOUT SONGS FROM THE BARN
This EP, Songs from the Barn, is the debut album from Brave Worship recorded in Thompson’s Station, TN. These 4 songs of worship represent 8 songwriters, 13 band members, and worship leaders, and an additional 15 members of the choir. This is a project and sound of unity and community, and there’s never been a time the world needed that more than now. The album was recorded in a barn because the ultimate dream is for Brave to have its own barn to call home.

If there’s ever been a time in our generation where hearts feel battle-worn, it’s now. In so many ways it feels like life as we know it has been upended. The Night’s Gone (Joy Is Coming)

Feelings can be overwhelming, especially when we go through struggles, and the world around us feels so dark. But it’s in those times we, as believers, still carry hope for what is promised to come. It’s in those times we can sing truth over our own hearts, reminding ourselves that we haven’t seen the end of the story yet. How beautiful then, that this song, THE NIGHT’S GONE (JOY IS COMING), was birthed out of that place, struggling with hope. And as we recorded this song, the joy came!! Knowing each other’s stories, looking into each other’s eyes, we sang this song to the top of our lungs. What started as a hope, ended as a celebration. No one in the room wanted this song to end. Our prayer is that this moment is contagious. If you’re in that place of struggle with hope, sing this truth over your heart….and just wait….you’re story is not over, the joy will come!
